During the 2023-24 winter season, two new ski lift systems were built in Gudauri. These systems feature 6-seater, open-chair ("bubble") ski lifts with a capacity of 1800 to 2400 passengers per hour, accommodating the increasing visitor flow and supporting high-standard international events. The project was carried out by the Austrian-Swiss company "Doppelmayr-Garaventa Group." Additionally, the Gudauri ski area was expanded from 70 km to 76 km.
