Mestia

Some places take your breath away. Mountains beyond words.

You come to Mestia for a ski holiday - and find yourself immersed in a culture as remarkable as the mountains. Medieval towers rise above the town, Svanetian food welcomes you to the table, and traditions passed down through generations remain part of everyday life. Here, modern ski infrastructure meets the living heritage of Svaneti, giving your mountain escape a whole new depth.

Home to the Hatsvali and Tetnuldi ski areas, Mestia takes you from forest-lined slopes to open alpine terrain beneath towering Caucasus peaks. It’s a place to explore with your skis, your camera and your curiosity.

Hatsvali and Tetnuldi give you two ways to experience Svaneti’s mountains. Explore their trails with dramatic peaks around you, then return to Mestia for a different kind of discovery.

A morning on the slopes. An afternoon among historic towers. An evening around a table of local food.
